Executive Coaching Resources Used

Resources Used

The key process we make use of is the Life Orientations® Method to identify preferred behaviour styles. The Lifo® method has been used for over thirty years in over 30 countries around the world and in more  than 18 different languages.

  • The Lifo® Method consists of a paper-based and on-line survey and support materials that can be used in resourcing, team and individual development.
  • It is a practical methodology that describes human behaviour and its drivers based on the work of Erich Fromm and Carl Rogers

Lifo® offers the following key executive coaching benefits:

  • It identifies four different styles of behaviour (supporting, controlling, conserving and adapting) with their different drivers and motivations that generate different behaviour patterns
  • It indicates behavioural strengths and weaknesses in normal and stressful circumstances
  • It identifies gaps in skills
  • It identifies potential stressors
  • It identifies ineffective strategies

As a training and / or coaching tool the Lifo® Method has the following benefits:

  • It leads towards a course of effective and lasting high performance
  • It is non-threatening and builds strong trust and confidence in coachees
  • It accepts people as they are and focuses on maximising their strengths, managing their potential weaknesses, uses a ‘common language’ and values individual differences
